This Easter long weekend, there are lots of family friendly events around Adelaide to enjoy, such as the Meadows Easter Fair, Easter picnic at Paxton Wines, Easter Farmers Market and even some fun Easter craft events!

To make things easier for you, we have put together a list of 11 Easter events that are happening around Adelaide.

1. Easter Storytime and Craft – Seaford Library

Tuesday, 26 March 2024. 3.30 – 4.30pm

Hop to it and join us for Easter storytime followed by a craft activity.

Suitable for ages 4-8 years | Free

Bookings essential | Parental supervision required

2. Get Crafty with Easter Creations – Woodcroft Library

Wednesday, 27 March 2024 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Use paint, textas, wool, stickers, ribbon and paper to decorate either a:

  • Wooden Layered Scene
  • Happy Easter Plaques
  • 3D Wooden Basket
  • 3D Wooden Birdhouse

3. Kids Easter Trail

When: 28.3.24 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Where: Adelaide Central Market, 44-60 Gouger Street, Adelaide, Australia

Come bunny come all! Hop into the Market for our kids Easter Market Trail, only on Thursday 28 March from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Collect your Easter goodies, including chocolate, sweet treats, flavoured milk and a little something for the Easter bunny.

All you need to do is:

1. Collect your bag and map anytime between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 28 March 2024 from The Market Stall (bookings required, limited walk ups may be available until allocation exhausted)

2. Hop along to our pit stops, pick up your Easter goodies and enjoy!

4. Meadows Easter Fair

Where: Meadows

When: March 29 – April 1

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Cost: Free

Meadows Easter Fair is held over the four days of Easter each year.

There is a wide range of stalls to investigate as there are about 30 stalls within the various rooms of the hall and another 70 stalls outside in the bituminised car park.

5. Easter Long Weekend at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company

Where: Barossa Valley Chocolate Company

Celebrate the magic of the Easter Long Weekend at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company.

Located less then one hour from Adelaide, the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company is open from 10 am – 5pm every day. Pop in for a visit or stay or the day.

  • Easter Bunny visits at 11.15 am and 2.45 pm each day
  • Children & Adult Easter Chocolatier Workshops all weekend (bookings required)
  • The Pony Lawn Bar: Live Music Friday and Saturday 12-3 with Lawn Games and more
  • Chocolate Pairing Experiences in the Vineyard Road Cellar Door: Wine/Chocolate, Beer/Chocolate, Gelati/Chocolate,
  • Cordial/Chocolate (bookings required, see details below)
  • Chocolate Shop tastings over Easter: Dark Chocolate with Orange, Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel and White Chocolate with Cookies & Cream
  • Lunch Bookings: Bennis Café inside the cafe, on the deck overlooking the water or on the lawns (picnic style) overlooking the Vineyards (bookings required for deck and cafe)

6. Easter Long Weekend Picnic @ Paxton Wines

Where: Paxton Winery

When: Easter long weekend (March 29 – April 1)

Spread out across the luscious lawns under shady trees and enjoy live music, Paxton wines and Kickback Brewing ales from the Pop-Up Bar, Doughballs’ wood-fired gourmet Pizzas and Doughballs, and from Cellar Door there’s local cheeses and produce you can build into a tasty platter.

DoughBalls will be offering delicious family favourites including DoughBalls and Garlic Butter, the classic Margherita, Hawaiian and BBQ Chicken pizzas, and other tasty seasonal specials available across the weekend. There’ll also be Antipasto boxes with Burrata Cheese, Cured Meats, Doughballs and dips – perfect to share! There will also be Massimo Gelato available in 9 delicious flavours, perfect for a Sunny weekend on the lawns, and more Easter Sweets specials.

7. FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt 

When: Saturday 30.3.24 from 10am

Where: Shanx Mini Golf & Regency Park Community Golf Course

Shanx Mini Golf & Regency Park Community Golf Course are running a FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday 30 March at Regency Park Community Golf Course!

It is the first of its kind for Adelaide and they’re expecting a HUGE turnout! Here’s what you can expect:

8. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

When: 31.3.2024 at 9am

Where: War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide

Hop into Easter with the sweetest morning treat!

Starting at 9am there will be a sumptuous buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, chipolatas, hashbrowns, mushrooms, roast tomatoes, toast, pancakes and baked beans. Served with a choice of tea, coffee or juice

There will also be a hopping surprise for the kids!

Cost:
$50 per adult
$20 per teenager
$10 per child
Under 2 are free

9. Farmers’ Market Easter Fun

When: 31.3.24 – 8:30am – 11:30am

Where: Adelaide Show Grounds

The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is open and celebrating Easter Sunday with a fun filled Easter Trail, giveaways, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Take part in the Farmers’ Market Easter Trail between 8.30am – 11.30am. Follow the trail to receive an Easter treat (while stocks last). Then go in the draw to win 1 of 2 Easter prizes.

Bring the whole family and grab breakfast on the lawns from 8.30am before you begin the hunt.

The market opens from 8.30 am to 12:30 pm for farm-fresh shopping & Easter celebrations.

We ask for a gold coin donation to participate with Market Members’ children FREE.

10. Easter Sunday Celebration

When: Sun Mar 31 2024 at 09:30 am

Where: Hawthorndene Apex Park, 26 Watahuna Ave, Hawthorndene SA

Join us on Easter Sunday for free hot cross buns, chocolate eggs, and a visit from the Easter Bunny! 

11. Pottery Workshop: Make Easter Handmade Dinnerware

When: Sun Mar 31 2024 at 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm
