This week we have been thinking of Graeme Walker and his family. Yesterday would have been a tremendously difficult day for the Walker family as they said farewell to him at a private service. I’m certain it was not an easy day for them as they said goodbye to their ever loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Cousin and Friend.
Tomorrow friends and extended family have been invited to celebrate his life at the Novar Gardens Bowling Club between 4 and 6pm.
We’re looking forward to dedicating some time to talk about Graeme among friends from the past and present. It has been lovely receiving so many phone calls and messages from people whose lives were touched by Graeme’s unique personality.
This week we have all been exchanging ‘Graeme quotes’ and memories of a man whose presence is most certainly missed and whose absence will be felt for many year’s to come.
Last week, the staff (and some ex-staff) gathered together for a meal in memory of their friend. The menu was a selection of Graeme’s favourite foods, fish and chips, pies, pea and ham soup and of course a bee sting cake.
Our thoughts are with his family as they come to terms with their loss. Graeme was a true gentleman.
