Kathy's birthday

Luckily the busy staff at Christies Beach enjoy the odd slice of cake with their morning coffee as we celebrated yet another birthday!

Kathryn Barry celebrated her birthday with a wonderful carrot cake made by department colleague Sarah Cullen, and we are pleased to report that Sarah’s cake rivalled the very best of the shop bought varieties!

Kathryn’s birthday actually fell on the long weekend so she had an extra treat this year by having an extra day off and spent it at Monarto Zoo. She had the additional bonus of getting up close and personal with the resident giraffes by hand feeding them. Property managers are well used to having to “stretch” themselves to get all of their multitude of tasks accomplished, however with their super long necks the giraffes have stretching on a whole new level!

The Monarto Zoo leases land from the SA Government and exists entirely on gate fees, sales of merchandise, sales of special tours and donations. It is a great day out for the family and your entry fees help the great conservation work of the Zoo.
