Interest rates remain at 1.50 per cent

In a statement released by Governor Philip Lowe, it was announced that interest rates will remain at 1.50 per cent.

This does not come as a surprise as the current interest rate has been at 1.50 per cent since August 2016.

I found the above graphs from the RBA website quite interesting. The graph demonstrates the overall decline in interest rates over the years reaching record lows.
