For all those who forgot about Valentine’s Day last year and found themselves trying to make up for it after their partner reminded them, I thought I better give you a reminder!
So don’t forget Valentine’s Day is this Sunday, 14/2/2016.
Not sure what to do for the day and don’t have a lot to spend? Here are some ideas we thought were thoughtful but don’t have to break the budget.
Picnic
Romantic yet casual and relaxing! This one is always a winner in my book and will only cost as much as you decide.
Massages
You could always exchange massages with each other. Surprise your partner by setting up an area in your home with candles and everything ready to go.
Candle lit dinner at home
There is no need to go out and spend lots of money on a dinner to make your loved one feel special. Show them by going to the effort of cooking a nice dinner and setting the table beautifully with your best dinner set.
Beach
We have some of the best beaches in Australia so why not take advantage of that by enjoying a day in the surf and sand. You could even stay and watch the sunset. Just don’t forget to slip, slop, slap!
Write a poem or song
If you are a creative person you might like to show your affection through music or poetry.
Make your own card
Sometimes homemade cards are the best cards you receive and they are often the ones you end up keeping. You’re never too old to make a card for your loved one. It is a sweet gesture.
Create a time line of good memories with pictures
There are so many ways you could do this. Basically think of it like presenting a school project, you could do a power point presentation, a big poster, a booklet etc. Either way, it is romantic and thoughtful!
