After nearly 60 years in the real estate industry, Kevin offers his clients something that can’t be ‘bought’ as a part of a real estate agents fee, and this is that he truly and genuinely cares for each and every single client of his. His compassion for others and ability to put himself in someone else’s shoes is why after six decades in the real estate industry, Kevin still has a strong presence in the community and is seen as a trusted figure in an industry that can seemingly be dominated by “sharks”.
The point of difference between Kevin and many other agents is that his care and assistance doesn’t cease after the ‘deal is done’ and after a property is sold, his support and eagerness to help continues well past the sale. Many of Kevins clients, whether they are vendors, purchasers or just people who have sought his advice have continued on to become friends with Kevin as they cherish his knowledge, his caring nature and value his trust.
This isn’t something that is “taught” at “Real Estate School”, this is something that comes naturally to sympathetic and empathetic humans beings and is continuously reinforced and affirmed by their actions, and not just the actions that are on display for others to see but also how an individual treats others when no one is watching.
It still amazes me the number of times I hear a story from someone who has known or met Kevin and they recall a time where he really touched their lives and went out of his way just to help them for the sake of helping them and being a good and caring human being, without expecting anything in return or anything to gain.
His commitment and genuine dedication to his clients and people in general is nothing short of inspirational and his devotion and motivation to all his clients, surpasses simply just wanting to achieve a good sale price for his clients as every real estate agent should aspire , but extends far beyond this as he will personally do whatever he can to help his clients achieve their own goals.
Over the years, Kevin has helped clients in many ways beyond the normal realm of the average real estate agent, he has been a shoulder to lean on countless times when people are perhaps not selling for a happy reason (Death, Divorce and Debt). Kevin does not see his clients as just “clients”, he sees every person he deals with for who they are and takes the time to get to know them so he can assist them in any way he can by understanding this person’s life journey and aims to gain a respectful understanding of what each person is experiencing and provides a tailored approach to each individual.
No one can attest to Kevin’s genuine interest in people, extending far beyond getting an appraisal more than his eldest son, Kevin Junior, who has now been in the Real Estate industry himself for over 40 years and worked closely with his father for many years and is proud to have followed in his father’s footsteps, not only as a real estate agent but also by the way he conducts his business and by the way he forms connections with others he meets.
Kevin Junior recalled a memory of his father and himself attending a sales appraisal and remembers his father walking through the house and spotting a piano, for those of you that don’t know, Kevin Snr is an avid and long-time piano player and is lovingly referred to by his children as “Piano Head”, so needless to say when Kevin Snr spotted the Piano, he was interested to know who the musician was in the family. Kevin and the family all got chatting about Piano and Music so of course this ended with Kevin playing the piano and enjoying an afternoon piano session with this family who were enthusiastically getting out old sheets of piano music and requesting Kevin to play ‘this’ song and ‘that’ song, all the while Kevin Junior then carried on with the sales appraisal himself while everyone sat around and enjoyed themselves, almost forgetting about the real reason Kevin Senior had actually come around to their home that day.
This type of connection and genuine rapport with others is one of the many reasons why Kevin is not your average agent, and is testament that he is not just after a “quick sale” from the people he meets, he is sincerely happy to chat to anyone and everyone and isn’t looking to gain something out of his interaction with others, but often will gain a friendship and gain their respect and trust.
