Professionals Christies Beach say Farewell to Melissa

Beginning as a work experience school student, Melissa began her journey with Professionals under the Management of the late George Kennedy. Back then her strategy was, to keep coming in and eventually they will give her a job – it worked!

Melissa recalls after school one day, her parents, who also worked for George at the time, picked her up and took her straight to the office on Beach Road. Once there, they asked if she could fill in for the receptionist who had gone home sick. Melissa would normally borrow her Mum’s clothes to come into the office but on this occasion she only had her school uniform – which of course, was ‘so embarrassing’!

Over the year’s Melissa has seen many changes in her role, the industry, and Beach Road. She has enjoyed working with her family and colleagues, who have become her friends. She is extremely proud of her sister, Lauren, who has been taking on more of Melissa’s role in preparation for her departure. Melissa says that Lauren has gone over and above and made the role her own.

However, it is not just colleagues that have become Melissa’s friends, she has gotten to know many of our clients too. You will often hear her laughing and chatting with clients whom she has built a relationship with. Anyone who would like the opportunity to say farewell, Melissa’s last day will be Wednesday next week. So, feel free to pop in, she would certainly love to see you all!
