Christies Beach and Onkaparinga Council area

Some of you may already be aware that the Onkparinga Council will be undertaking work to improve our local area.

13 ‘Established’ suburbs have been selected to take part in the Suburb Improvement Program (SIP) which will commence in September 2016.

According to a notice delivered to owners and occupants in the area “Established suburbs are those with a significant percentage (i.e. 20% or more) of dwellings built in or prior to 1970.

The established suburbs assessed to be included as part of the SIP program are Aldinga Beach, Christie Downs, Christies Beach, Darlington, Hackham, Hackham West, Morphett Vale, O’Halloran Hill, O’Sullivan Beach, Port Noarlunga, Port Noarlunga South, Reynella and Sellicks Beach”

The work will include pruning and planting of trees, street furniture, gateways, suburb entrances, oval surrounds, footpaths and kerbing.
