As some of you would already be aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a Diamond Partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), for the month of October our websites and offices turn Pink to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for breast cancer research. Did you know that one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the leading community-funded organisation in Australia raising money for research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer. Professionals are proud to be a long standing partner of NBCF.
On the 9th of October we held a movie night at Wallis cinemas to raise much needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The movie was ‘The Judge’ starring Robert Downey Jnr and Robert Duvall. We also auctioned off 3 baskets/boxes of goodies.
The fundraiser was a great success and we could not have done it without the help of Wallis Cinemas and other generous people in our community.
To date the Professionals as a group have raised $2,263,997.05 andour event helped contribute to this very worthy cause.
However, the fundraising is not over. We are still taking donations for those of you who would like to contribute.
