Christies Beach Australia Day is one of those national days that can mean different things to different people. To us it’s the perfect holiday to celebrate all the great things about our country with family and friends.
What are your plans?
Do they include a swim at any of our beautiful beaches from Robe to Victor Harbor, or Wallaroo to Streaky Bay? Or a picnic somewhere on the Murray River? A weekend on your house boat, or holiday shack? Or something cultural? A trip to the museum or art gallery on North Terrace, or a cinema or theatre visit to catch the latest movie or show?
Instead of the beach or river, perhaps you’ll look for your liquid refreshment on the inside, by spending time in our fabulous wine regions and trying some of the local drops.
Maybe you’ll catch the Tour Down Under as it nears an end and cheer for the Aussie riders. Or you could get down to Adelaide Oval to watch the traditional Australia Day one day international between England and the Aussies.
All around South Australia, local communities will have Australia Day events planned. Check the website of your local council to see what’s on in your area.
Whatever you do, we hope you have a wonderful Australia Day long weekend with family and friends.
